Second Gate: The Gate of Liberation
Second Gate: The Gate of Liberation

The Gate of Liberation, also known as the Gate of Non-Duality, signifies the beginning of the Buddha’s realm. Here, we let go of judgments and embrace true freedom.

At the heart of the Buddha’s enlightenment is the understanding of dependent origination—how everything is interconnected—and the Middle Way, which means seeing things as they truly are. Passing through this gate, we leave behind worldly competition and desires, and enter the Buddha’s realm of connection and balance.

To your left, after passing through, you’ll see Amitabha Buddha offering peace from the Western Pure Land. Seated calmly, it is said that the Buddha brings peace to troubled hearts.

You can show respect by joining your palms and bowing to Amitabha Buddha, expressing gratitude and love.
