This is Hongjeru, a traditional pavilion from the Joseon Dynasty. These types of pavilions were traditionally built within temple grounds.
They were used to separate men and women during religious ceremonies, or to accommodate overflow crowds when the main hall, Daeungjeon, could not hold everyone.
