At Jinkwansa, several historic buildings are deeply connected to the Arhat faith, with origins dating back to the Goryeo Dynasty.
These include Nahanjeon, Dokseongjeon, and Chilseonggak, all of which survived the Korean War. For example, the sign on the Nahanjeon building shows it was reconstructed in 1884, during the reign of King Gojong.

The word “Nahan” comes from “Arhat,” meaning one who overcomes obstacles, earns respect through effort, and lives in harmony with truth.
At Nahanjeon, it is believed that sincere prayers to the Arhat can make wishes come true.
Many devotees visit Nahanjeon daily for a thousand consecutive days, praying with hope that their wishes will be fulfilled.
